Teong is an experienced financial professional with a strong background in both traditional finance and digital asset. He is the CEO and co-founder of Satori Research, a digital asset platform based in Hong Kong and Tokyo, specializing in market-making, quantitative trading, research, and advisory in Web3 services. Teong’s previous experience building the digital asset arm for SBI Holdings and serving as the COO of SBI VCTrade, a regulated crypto exchange in Japan. Prior to Web3, Teong spent 16 years in traditional finance, the first decade of his career trading macro at Goldman Sachs before joining J.P Morgan as a portfolio manager managing the institution’s currency and interest rates risks. He was directly in charge of USD$10 billion of the firm’s positions across Asia.
