KWEON, Ohyeon. Chairman of the social cooperative Parti. Organizer of Code for Korea.
He worked as a development leader and product manager at Agora, Daum View (Blogger News), and Tistory which are open platforms of Daum Communications. He founded UFOfactory, merged with Slowalk, and created the brands and platforms for over 1,200 non-profit organizations and established Stibee and Orange Letter.
He then founded the civic platform cooperative Parti to create a digital democracy platform and served as the chief planner for the democratic platform of the Seoul Metropolitan Government. He started civic hacking in 2012 at CodeNamu, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, he carried out the public mask project and later created the civic tech community called Code for Korea.
His goal is to make platforms and collectives that contribute with impact sustainably to democracy, commons(with public goods), and peace through open and citizen technology. Using digital technology, he dreams of contributing to creating free and happy individuals who trust and cooperate with each other, forming prosperous and sustainable communities, and a peaceful life and world.
