Since joining Animoca Group in 2018, James has been responsible for strategic business partnerships, ecosystem development as well as pivotal in managing deal flow and investments. With a solid track record of over 100 deals focusing on Web3, his most notable investments include The Sandbox, Yield Guild Games, Opensea, Magic Eden and ImmutableX etc.

James is also instrumental in setting up Animoca Ventures, the first flagship fund focusing on metaverses, blockchain gaming, tooling, DeFi, NFT & social as well as Web3 infrastructure. James is also a seasoned design and tech builder, prior to Animoca, he founded POCA Design and Digital Vantage, working with some of the world’s most famous brands such as Chanel, LVMH, Audemars Piguet and Sotheby’s etc.
